This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information when you visit SarahChapmanForMayor.com, complete a campaign form, communicate with the Campaign, volunteer, request information, make an endorsement, or contribute to the Campaign.

By using this website or submitting information through a Campaign form, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Unsubscribing from general Campaign emails will not necessarily prevent communications that are required for contribution receipts, legal notices, volunteer coordination already requested by you, or direct responses to your inquiries.

The Campaign may call or text you when you have requested contact or provided appropriate permission.

Providing a telephone number through a general contact or volunteer form does not, by itself, enroll you in automated Campaign text messages unless the form clearly provides text-message consent language.

Consent is not a condition of making a contribution or receiving general website information.
You may reply STOP to cancel text messages.

The Campaign does not represent that it is a business subject to every provision of the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Nevertheless, California residents may submit reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete personal information maintained directly by the Campaign, subject to identity verification and applicable legal exceptions.

The Campaign will not discriminate against a person for making a good-faith privacy request.

Contributor information required to be retained or publicly reported under campaign-finance or election laws may not be eligible for deletion or confidentiality.

13. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

The Campaign does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If we learn that such information was submitted without appropriate parental or legal authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, unless retention is required by law.
