I want my community to be like my life was growing up in the Bay Area, where nobody gives a second thought to sitting or living beside, working and volunteering with people who look, live, love and even practice faiths different than them. As one example, I worked with her at a couple of the city’s Make A Difference Day neighborhood beautification events held in years past. There was Dr. Chapman in work clothes and work gloves, pulling weeds and raking to help
boost neighbors’ pride in their property while also chatting with them about what they like about their neighborhood!

Our community deserves leadership that leads with integrity, honesty, and accountability. From my experience on city council for six years, Dr. Chapman is the only candidate for Mayor who consistently demonstrates what is best for our city, not political games.
She takes the time to understand different points of view and navigate the sensitivity that policies can have on the wellbeing of our community.
