Every community has challenges to solve and opportunities to embrace. My vision for Vacaville is grounded in listening, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to preserving what makes our city exceptional while preparing responsibly for the future. Together, we can strengthen our neighborhoods, support our local economy, protect our quality of life, and ensure that future generations are just as proud to call Vacaville home as we are today.
Every decision we make today helps shape the Vacaville our children and grandchildren will inherit. These priorities reflect my commitment to preserving what we value while preparing responsibly for the future.
Every conversation matters.
Throughout my years of service—as an educator, community leader, City Councilmember, and Vice Mayor—I have learned that the strongest solutions come from listening first. Good leadership isn’t about having every answer; it’s about bringing people together, asking thoughtful questions, and making decisions with integrity.
Vacaville’s greatest strength has always been its people. Residents, business owners, educators, first responders, volunteers, faith communities, and civic organizations all contribute to making our city stronger. I believe local government works best when it remains accessible, transparent, and connected to the people it serves.
As Mayor, I will continue to lead with respect, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to listening before making decisions.
Safe Neighborhoods and Strong Communities
Every resident deserves to feel safe at home, at work, in our parks, and throughout our neighborhoods. Public safety is the foundation upon which strong communities are built, and it begins with supporting the dedicated professionals who serve and protect Vacaville every day.
A safe community is about more than responding to emergencies. It is built through strong partnerships between residents, public safety professionals, schools, local organizations, and city government. Prevention, preparedness, and community engagement all play an important role in creating neighborhoods where families feel secure, businesses can thrive, and neighbors look out for one another.
I remain committed to supporting thoughtful public safety strategies that strengthen trust, encourage collaboration, and help keep Vacaville a safe place to call home.
Responsible Growth
Vacaville continues to grow, bringing new opportunities for families, businesses, and future generations. Growth should be thoughtful, balanced, and guided by long-term planning that protects the character of our community while preparing responsibly for the future.
As areas such as East of Leisure Town continue to develop, we must ensure that infrastructure, transportation, parks, schools, and public services grow alongside them. Responsible planning means creating complete neighborhoods that strengthen our community rather than simply expanding it.
Growth should never happen to our community. It should happen with our community and reflect the values that have always made Vacaville such a special place to live.
Fiscal Responsibility & Good Stewardship
Every taxpayer deserves confidence that public resources are managed wisely, transparently, and with careful attention to both today’s needs and tomorrow’s responsibilities.
Vacaville faces important financial decisions in the years ahead. Meeting those challenges requires thoughtful planning, open communication, and a commitment to protecting the essential services residents rely upon while making responsible investments for the future.
Fiscal responsibility is about more than balancing budgets. It is about earning the public’s trust through honest leadership, sound decision-making, and careful stewardship of every public dollar.
Economic Opportunity
A healthy local economy creates opportunity for everyone. Supporting local businesses, encouraging entrepreneurship, attracting quality employers, and strengthening our downtown all contribute to a community where families and businesses can succeed together.
Vacaville’s location, talented workforce, and strong sense of community provide tremendous opportunities for continued success. By working collaboratively with local businesses, educational institutions, and community partners, we can encourage innovation while preserving the qualities that make our city unique.
Economic growth should create opportunity across generations—from students beginning their careers to longtime residents who have invested their lives in our community.
Parks, Recreation & Quality of Life
The quality of life we enjoy in Vacaville is shaped by the places where we gather, volunteer, celebrate, exercise, and spend time with the people we love. Parks, trails, recreation programs, libraries, community events, and cultural opportunities all contribute to the welcoming spirit that makes our city feel like home.
As our community grows, we must continue investing in these shared spaces while preserving the natural beauty that defines Vacaville. Every neighborhood deserves places where children can play safely, families can connect, and residents of all ages can enjoy an active and engaged community.
A great city is measured not only by its buildings and roads, but by the quality of life it provides for the people who call it home.
Working Together
Lasting progress is built through collaboration. Some of the best ideas come from residents who care deeply about their neighborhoods and want to be part of creating solutions. Local government works best when people feel heard, respected, and encouraged to participate.
I believe leadership means bringing people together, even when challenges are difficult. By working with residents, businesses, schools, nonprofit organizations, regional partners, and fellow elected officials, we can build practical solutions that reflect our shared values and strengthen our community.
Together, we can continue building a Vacaville that honors its past, embraces its future, and remains a place of peace—a place where every person has the opportunity to thrive.
